The rules

The rules and competition system for the
4 .Tournament of ice and steel
Jesenice 2019

 

 

1.   General provisions

-all the tems must provide the minimum number of the players. If a team doesn’t have enough players in the team, it must provide a player from the younger category.
– it is obligatory to have a coulor stripes on the players arms. Each team must provide his own stripes. Each line must have the same coulor of the stripes. It is not allowed to change the players during the game, the players can be changed between the matches.

 

 

2. Category U8 (born 2011 or younger)

 

 

2.1.       Competition system

– in the category play 11 diferent  teams
– round-robin:  there is a Group A with 6 teams and a group B with 5 teams. Each team plays against every team in his own group. After the end of the playing in groups A nad B, there will be created a new categories C and D. In Group C ( 6 teams)  there will be the the first thre teams from group A and B . In the group D  wil take the place the rest of the teams from group A nad B (5 teams).
-playoff’s:

 

  • the teams from group C and the first 2 teams  from group D will play  quarter-finals of the system C1-D2 ( I.)  C2-D1 (II. ), C3-D6 (III.) nad  C4-C5 (IV.).
  • In the semi-finals plays winner of the game  I.  against the winner of a game IV.  and the winner of the game II. against the winer of the game  III.
  •   In the finals play the winners of the semi-finals for 1st place and the semifinal losers for the 3rd place.

 

2.2.        Players

–  Number of players: min. 8 + goalkeeper, max. 12 + goalkeeper
–  Year of birth must be 2011 or yunger. Girls and a goalkeeper can be a year older ( 2010 or younger)
– Team plays each  match  with 2 lines of four. During the match, the players should not change between the lines  (changes of player, for exemple from the first line to second is not allowed) The players of the each line must wear a stripe of the same color.

 

2.3.       Scoring

– Round robin: The team gets 2 points for a win,  1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. Points are accumulated and taken into account for ranking teams after round-robin.
– if  two teams gathered  the same number of points, for a final rankig  shall be considered a result of the mutual match. In the case of the mutual match end in a draw, for the final ranking  will be considered a total  goal difference. In the case of  the total goal difference  is  equal, the final  ranking will be considered by a higher number of goals scored. In the case of all the above mentioned parameters are equal, the final rank of the  teams  will be decided by the penalty shots ( 3 vs. 3, in the case of a tie 1 vs. 1 until winning goal).
– if several teams gathered the same number of points after round-robin, final ranking shall be considered by mutual goal difference between the teams.  In the case of  the egual mutual goal difference between the teams, the final ranking will be considered by common goal difference. In the case of the equa total goal difference between the teamsl, the final ranking will be considered by a higher number of goals scored. In the case of  all the above mentioned parameters are equal, the final team classification  wil be decide by a  penalty shots  ( 3 vs. 3, in the case of a tie 1 vs. 1 until winning goal).
– Play off: in the case of a tie after the end of playing time in the playoff match, the winner will be decided by penalty shots ( 3 vs. 3, in the case of a tie 1 vs. 1 until winning goal).

 

2.4.        Game rules

– a match takes place at 1/3 the ice rink on the width. Teama are  playing on small goals. The game is played with a lighter puckom (blue puck)
– playing time of each match during regular time, quarter-finals and semi-finals is 14 minutes. Playing time in the finals (the matches for 1st place and 3rd place) is 18 minutes.
– the lines are changing after 1 minute of play  on the siren whistle  without stopping time.  When the siren whistle, the player who is in possession of puck must leave the puck  at the site and leave to  the substitution-box. Playing with puck after the siren whistle  is considered as a foul.
– round- robin games will be judged by  amateur referees, while the matches  in the quarter- finals, semi-finals and finals will be judged by the referees, registered with the Slovenian association of referees of ice hockey. The referee will not stop the game after the foul, unless the foul  brought directly to a goal for the opposing team. Fouls are cumulative, each second team foul is punished with a penalty shot for  the opposing team
– the results of the game will be record by the referee  and score table stuf. The result and the number of fouls will be  published on the score table during a game.

 

 

3.    Category U9 (born 2010 or younger)

 

 

3.1.       Competition system

– in the category play 10 diferent teams
– round-robin:  there is a Group A and a group B with 5 teams in each group.. Each team plays against every team in his own group. After the end of the playing in groups A nad B, there will be created a new categories C and D. In Group C ( 5 teams)  there will be the the first two teams from group A and B and the best third ranking team. In the group D  wil take the place the rest of the teams from group A nad B (5 teams).
-playoff’s:

 

  • the teams from group C the first 3 teams  from group D will play  quarter-finals of the system C1-D3 ( I.)  C2-D2 (II. ), C3-D1 (III.) nad  C4-C5 (IV.).
  • In the semi-finals plays winner of the game  I.  against the winner of a game IV.  and the winner of the game II. against the winer of the game  III.
  • In the finals play the winners of the semi-finals for 1st place and the semifinal losers for the 3rd place.

– the team will receive in the first and second round 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. Points are accumulated and taken into account when ranking teams.
– after the first round, the points will be deleted and replaced with the bonus points. At the start of the second round of the Group A as the first placed team  will receive 2 points of bonus, the second ranked team 1 point bonus and the third placed team 0 bonus points. In Group B, the first placed team will reecive  2 points of bonus, the second ranked team 1 point bonus and the third and fourth placed team 0 points bonus.
– if  two teams gathered  the same number of points, for a final rankig  shall be considered a result of the mutual match. In the case of the mutual match end in a draw, for the final ranking  will be considered a total  goal difference. In the case of  the total goal difference  is  equal, the final  ranking will be considered by a higher number of goals scored. In the case of all the above mentioned parameters are equal, the final rank of the  teams  will be decided by the penalty shots ( 3 vs. 3, in the case of a tie 1 vs. 1 until winning goal).

– playing time of each match during regular time, quarter-finals and semi-finals is 18 minutes. Playing time in the finals (the matches for 1st place and 3rd place) is 24 minutes.
– the lines are changing after 1 minute of play  on the siren whistle  without stopping time.  When the siren whistle, the player who is in possession of puck must leave the puck  at the site and leave to  the substitution-box. Playing with puck after the siren whistle  is considered as an offense
– all the games will be judged by  the referees, registered with the Slovenian association of referees of ice hockey. The referee will not stop the game after the foul, unless the foul  brought directly to a goal for the opposing team. Fouls are cumulative, each third team foul is punished with a penalty shot for  the opposing team

4. Category U10 ( born 2009 or younger)

 

 

4.1.  Competition system
